Evening with NATS
The club had the distinct pleasure of hosting Martin Rolfe, CEO of NATS, for an informal evening discussing the importance of conspicuity and the challenges facing the national air traffic control network in the coming decades. There were some fascinating insights into developments on automation, and adding layers of safety. Also about electronic strips. Good fun!

Ben Cornwell, aviation YouTuber, shared his pro tips and tricks for filming your flying exploits. No matter what you're flying, you can capture the breathtaking moments and share them. He taught us that you don't need eight cameras to capture every angle. And remember, editing is easier than you think!

Concorde: A Personal Account
We had the privilege of welcoming Capt Mike Bannister, the former Chief-Pilot of BA's Concorde programme, to the London Flying Club. What enfolded was an hour of riveting personal stories about the most iconic airplane of modern times. Stories about celebrities and rockstars, mechanics, ATC and buzzing the Buckingham Palace.

Discussion with Frank 'Woody' Van Houten
An interactive discussion with NetJets captain and experienced air show pilot Frank ‘Woody’ Van Houten about decision making in the modern cockpit. We learned from his experience flying the Sukhoi 26MX in dizzying aerobatic routines, multi-tasking in the cockpit of his Bombardier Global 6000 and in smaller airplanes.
